When traveling from Killorglin take the N72 towards Killarney.

- Ballymalis Castle Junction - 4.6 miles on the right
- Entry to Hawthorn River Lodge - 5.3miles on the right.
From Killarney
Coming from Killarney take the N72 (Ring of Kerry) to Killorglin.
Look out for the Beaufort Bridge on your left with a shop on the right. Continue on the N72 and you will notice the following landmarks en route (All distances from Beaufort Bridge to Hawthorn River Lodge):
- The Anglers Lodge - 1.3 miles from the bridge on the right
- Junction Old Schoolhouse - 1.6 miles on the right
- Entry to Hawthorn River Lodge - 1.9 miles on the left.
